CLJGHOA NEWSLETTER - NOVEMBER 1999

Great Meeting!

Again, November's meeting at the Southpointe Clubhouse was a success. We are very grateful to our neighbors for use of their comfortable and roomy facilities. The next HOA meeting will be held on December 9th, 1999, Thursday, at 6:30 p.m. at the Southpointe Clubhouse, 8286 Via Mallorca. Please Join Us - Owners & Renters! Meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Southpointe Clubhouse, 8286 Via Mallorca. The homeowners' forum begins at 6:30 p.m.; the regular Board session begins at 7 p.m.

 Gardener Change

Last month at the CLJG HOA Homeowners meeting, the Board asked Leslie Holiday, at Menas Realty, to get bids for landscaping, including a new bid from our current contractor. We received four proposals. After examining the services provided and the fees, we have chosen M.C. Landscape Maintenance, Inc. They will begin in December. We would like to thank Landscape Artistry for the upkeep and maintenance of the CLJG grounds over the last few years.

 Thought for the Day!

 Handyman's Corner

Have you noticed that ugly looking gray breaker box in the bedroom! If you have a screwdriver and some spare time, you can paint the outside of the electric breaker box cover to blend with the color of your wall!

Just use any touch up paint that you may have to match your wall color or buy a can of white gloss spray paint (e.g. Krylon, Hammerite, etc.). Use a screwdriver to remove the breaker box cover screws and carefully take the cover off the wall. Spread some old newspaper to rest the breaker box cover on while it is being painted in a well-ventilated area. Paint the screws heads also!  It may take a couple coats of paint to cover that gray. This sure improves the look of the bedroom!

The CLJG Board of Directors wish everyone a safe holiday season! As we can expect a lot of "holiday" trash, please crush your gift boxes, wrap your trash bags securely (the ants love the sweets), and don't leave any trash on the ground, even if the dumpster is full. Our trash disposal company won't pick up items left outside the dumpster. Trees must be taken to a recycling center.
