Recommended Use For Common Kitchen Drain Lines

  • Replacement of defective garbage disposals will go a long way in alleviating the problem of chronic kitchen line stoppages, but it is also helpful to pay careful attention to the items being placed into the kitchen sink.
  • Grease; expandable foods (pasta and rice); coffee grounds; and fibrous items (such as celery) should never be placed into the system.
  • Large quantities of any item (especially potato and carrot peels) must always be handled in small doses.
  • We also recommend you refrain from dispensing any acid based drain cleaning solutions into sanitary sewer lines.
  • With minimal effort, you can eliminate many of the stoppages which affect stacked (i.e. A, B, D & E) units' kitchen lines resulting in flooding and property damage.

Do Not Put The Following Materials into Garbage Disposals

Cooking Oil, Grease, Syrups (undiluted).

* Fibrous Foods

* Caustic Substances

* Hard Items

NOTE: always use cold water with garbage disposals and allow the water to run for approximately 30 seconds.
